Competitions for Government officials and employees
To promote sports activity among the working people and to improve their efficiency and talents, sports competitions in Badminton (men and women), Cricket (men) and Football (men) are conducted every year for Tamil Nadu All India Services and Central Services (TACS) officers since 2019-2020. The Government has sanctioned a sum of Rs.19.32 Lakh as a recurring grant per annum for three years.
State Level Civil Servants Sports Meet
Civil Servants Sports Meet is conducted every year for Government Servants with an intention to promote their physical fitness and efficiency and relieve them from work stress. Initially, District level competitions are conducted in all the districts. The outstanding sportspersons selected after State level selection trials represent Tamil Nadu in the All India Civil Services Competitions. The Government sanctions a grant of Rs.40.37 Lakh every year.
