High Cash Incentive
To encourage sportspersons from Tamil Nadu for securing more medals at the international competitions, the Government of Tamil Nadu extends high cash incentive for the medal winning performance. The quantum of assistance is as follows:-

The high cash incentives have also been given to medal winners of other sports / games, competitions / championships as a special case.
To encourage, promote and popularize recognized Olympic, Asian, Commonwealth Games and regional level popular games and sports, competitions are conducted by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) every year. The main thrust of the competition is providing a platform to the budding players to showcase their talents and improve their performance. Tamil Nadu has been participating in the SGFI Nationals every year.Government included the winners of the school games as those eligible for the high cash incentives and orders were issued in G.O.(Ms).No.27, Youth Welfare and Sports Development (S1) Department, Dated 20.06.2017.For the first time, high cash incentive to the medal winners of national school games was given in the year 2018. Rs.8,21,50,000/- was sanctioned as high cash incentives to 465 medal winners of the 63rd National School Games. The Government of Tamil Nadu have awarded a total sum of Rs.19.12 crore to 489 medal winners and 26 coaches as high cash incentive in the year 2018-19.
